hard用作形容词表示“困难的”，用作副词表示“努力地、激烈地”；
hardly表示“几乎不”，用作否定副词。
Its raining hard.
I can hardly understand his words.
much too“非常、极其、太”中心词是too，much修饰too，much too修饰形容词和副词原级；
too much“太多”中心词是much，too修饰much，too much修饰不可数名词或者动词。
The car is much too expensive.
There is too much rain in summer.
too用在肯定句中，放在句尾，前面常加逗号隔开；
as well用于肯定句中，放在句尾，前面不用逗号；
also放在句中；
either用于否定句中，前面常加逗号隔开。
I like English too.
=I like English as well.
=I also like English.
I don like English, either.
有些形容词可以直接用作副词，也可以加上ly构成副词，但是两者之间有一定的区别。前者表示具体的含义，后者表示抽象的含义。
He lively very close to me.
Watch me closely.
He pushed the stick deep into the mud.
I was deeply moved by his story.
The kite is flying high.
He thought highly of my opinion.
