A postdoctoral research associate position is now available in the Quantitative imaging and radiomics laboratory, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), The University of Oklahoma (OU). The newly established laboratory is fully funded and our research is mainly focused on the development of novel computer aided diagnosis schemes for identifying the early symptoms or predicting the early therapy responses of some certain type of cancers (i.e. ovary cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer).
The ideal candidate will be a Ph.D. graduate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or some other related majors. The candidate should have strong background in either one of the following areas in their Ph.D. study:
1) Medical imaging analysis, e.g. the development of conventional or deep learning based computer aided diagnosis (CAD) schemes. The candidate should be able to proficiently use the common image processing tools, such as tensorflow, MATLAB, itk, vtk, opencv.
2) Development of novel medical imaging systems including STORM, light-sheet microscopy, photoacoustic imaging, OCT, etc. The competitive candidate should be familiar with both the hardware setup and the imaging reconstruction algorithms.

Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and based on the prevailing wage of post doctoral trainee set by both the University and the national institutes of health (NIH). General state employee benefits will also be offered.
