前几期介绍了英语语法：数词的用法、数词的词形、数词的具体使用方式、性质形容词的用法。这一期学习英语语法：状态形容词的用法。
形容词：描述事物的特征、性质、类属、状态等内容的一类词，主要用于修饰、丰富、限定名词的内容。
形容词根据其含义、用法可分成3大类：性质形容词、状态形容词、类别形容词。
2.状态形容词的用法
表示状态的形容词数量很少，大多数以a开头，习惯上只能作表语，又称为表语形容词，常见的有：
afraid害怕的
alive活着的
apart分开的
ready准备好的
well健康的
asleep睡着的
aware知道的
sorry抱歉的
likely很可能的
content满足的
glad高兴的
alone单独的
unlikely不可能的
full满的
大多数状态形容词不能用程度副词修饰，也没有级的变化，通常只作表语，有些可以作后置定语，一般不能作前置定语。
1）作表语
I’m afraid of nothing now.
现在我什么也不怕了。
She is glad to meet you.
她见到你很高兴。
例外：可用程度副词修饰者
fast asleep熟睡着
very sorry很抱歉
very glad很高兴
2）作后置定语
The two persons alive are very old now.
还活着的两人已很老了。
注意,不能说：
×a afraid person
×a asleep boy
可以改成：
√a scared person
√a sleeping boy
