塔里木河塔里木河中国第一大内陆河。位于新疆维吾尔自治区塔里木盆地北部。上游有三源：阿克苏河源出天山山脉，叶尔羌河及和田河源出喀喇昆仑山脉，在阿瓦提县肖夹克附近汇合后称塔里木河。在尉犁县以南折向东南，穿过塔克拉玛干沙漠的东北部，注入铁干里克的大西海子水库。若从叶尔羌河上源算起，至大西海子长2000千米，若从阿克苏与叶尔羌河相汇处算起，到大西海子长800千米，流域面积19.8万平方千米。塔里木河在历史上曾多次改道。19主流下游北移，东流沿孔雀河注入罗布泊。1952年中段的汊流拉因河口筑起塔里木大坝，阻断河水流入孔雀河，河道主流改沿铁干里克故道，折向东南流入台特马湖。现在，塔里木河仅到铁干里克流入大西海子水库，台特马湖处干涸状态。河水主要来自阿克苏河（占72.0％）、和田河（占22.5％）、叶尔羌河（占5.5％）。上段的阿拉尔站，每年有49亿立方米水量下泄，沿途蒸发与渗漏严重，致使大西海子以下至台特马湖的河段断流，引起大片胡杨树枯死，沟通塔里木盆地南北的绿色走廊面临毁灭的危险。
