夏天，池塘里面开满了荷花，有的荷花才开出两三瓣，有的荷花全开了，有的还是花骨朵儿，它们挨挨挤挤，争奇斗艳，一朵朵的花儿，像娇羞的姑娘，涨红脸蛋儿。突然，飞来了几只蜻蜓，它们飞倦了，就落在荷花里歇息，这时让我情不自禁地想起一首诗：“小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头。”多么宁静富有诗意的夏荷之景啊！秋天，池塘岸上的大树都落尽了叶子，有的落在水面上，小鱼拿来当伞，有的落在地上，蚂蚁拿来当伞，有的落在地上，蚂蚁把它小运动场……一阵风吹过，叶子随着池塘水的波光起伏着，就想一艘艘小船儿要迎风起航呢！
