cooked pork. In Chinese it"s Huíguōròu which to the untrained ear sounds a lot like Huíguóròu（回国肉）which means return from abroad meat, which is exactly what I am.
回国肉=回锅肉。哈哈哈，这是我来中国吃到的第一道菜，非常的好吃。

我旅游的第一站，北京天安门。
A visit to the National Museum. Spent 4 hours, could only rush through it. That"s the trouble when your culture has so much "history."
我旅游参观了国家博物馆，但是花了半天的时间也没有看完。
Many great trips have started here... Beijing Railway Station. Off for the Northeast part of China
我来到了北京火车站，准备出发旅游去东北。
And I made it to Harbin. It"s about 20 below here, but I haven"t felt it yet.
哈尔滨站就到了，准备开始我的旅游行程。
Here we visit the Harbin Engineering University campus where they host a snow carving exhibition. Schools from all around China and several different countries came to carve and compete.
哈尔冰工程大学大学生的雪雕展览。吸引了全国和很多国外大学生来参加，还有很多旅游的游客。

Made it to Daqing, the oil city of China. Stayed at the Daqing Hotel which has seen much better days. Next door a brand new Wanda plaza was built with a Sheraton. The days of old iron Wang Jingxi are now passed.
去大庆看朋友，他住在大庆宾馆。我感觉这应该是大庆最高级的宾馆，现在我感觉它的繁华已经过去了。
And there was some baijiu to be had.
喝的白酒。
Da Ga? A spinning top game played on ice in the cold Northeast.
打嘎. 是一个东北风俗的传统游戏。
And how colorful.

And last evening in Beijing, dinner must be Jiaozi dumplings and cabbage accompanied by a warm bottle of Yanjing beer.
