If you’re like mostparents, you hear these as supportive, esteem-boosting messages. Butlisten more closely. See if you can hear another message. It’s the one thatchildren hear:
如果你和大多数家长一样，你会觉得这些是支持鼓励，促进自尊的信息。但是你再仔细听听，看你能否听见另一种信息。那就是孩子们听到的信息：

If I don’tlearn something quickly, I’m notsmart.

If you keep telling children these kind of praise, they may have afixedmindset— I succeedbecause Iam smart. If Ifail, that"s because Ihave no talent.
如果你持续告诉学生这些赞美，他们很可能会形成固定的思维模式：我成功是因为我足够聪明，如果我失败了那是因为我天赋不够。
But this is a wrong way of mindset, we should tell everyone a new way of thinking.
但是这是一种错误的思维方式，我们应该告诉任何人一种全新的思维方式
That is, you succeed because you have put in enough effort.
Whether you"re smart or not, if you don"t work hard, you can never achieve truly great achievements.
Conversely, if you have not succeeded, or you have failed, it is because you have not put enough effort to find the right way to achieve your goals.
Your efforts make the real difference.
那就是，你成功是因为你付出了足够的努力。
无论是否聪明，如果你不努力，你永远无法取得真正伟大的成就。
反之，如果你还没有成功，或者你失败了，那是因为你没有付出足够的努力去寻找正确的方法，实现你的目标。
